The universe is not only stranger than we think, it's stranger than we can imagine...
Formed in Albuquerque, New Mexico, in September 2001, Jet Jaguar is Charles Van de Kree (guitar, synths, keyboards, vocals), Trisha St. James (bass, synths, theremin), and Joey Mach (drums, drum modules, samplers, percussion). Named after a robot in a Godzilla movie, Jet Jaguar has been described in numerous reviews as a "punked-out psychedelic space rock group" that combines the heavy-riffing style of Hawkwind with the raunchy robotic sound of Chrome. Sci-fi obsessed, most of the group's songs are preoccupied with aeronautics, interstellar exploration, robotics, cloning, virtual reality, biomolecular mutation, nuclear apocalypse and a variety of other science-fiction related themes. To date, Jet Jaguar has released four full-length CDs and two limited edition CDEPs. 3rd Millennium Power Drive, a full-blown "cyberspace opera" based on the work of SF writers Bruce Sterling, John Varley and Kim Stanley Robinson, has just been released on Overlord Records.
